Meet Meika Lauppe, a third-year Agribusiness Innovation and Technology major at Arizona State University, with a minor in Real Estate and a big heart for preserving the future of American agriculture.
Raised on a rice and hay farm in Northern California, Meika’s connection to the land runs deep. From 4-H and FFA to livestock shows and ag mechanics, she’s lived the farm-to-future experience firsthand.
When she’s not on the ASU Softball field, you’ll find her digging into the business side of agriculture — exploring cooperative marketing, ag finance, and real estate investment. Her recent accounting internship at Sunsweet Growers gave her a new perspective on how innovation and tradition can grow side by side.
Through Preserving the American Heartland, Meika brings her roots, curiosity, and competitive spirit to conversations that matter — spotlighting the farmers, innovators, and dreamers shaping the next generation of American agriculture.
After graduating in May 2026, Meika plans to earn her Real Estate brokerage license and continue her mission to protect farmland, empower rural communities, and keep America’s heartland thriving.
